Welcome to St. Simon Stock-St. Joseph Church. If you are interested in having your child baptized please read the information below.

1. Collect the Mandatory Documents
- As a member of Saint Simon Stock - Saint Joseph Church, you will need the following original documents for the preparation for your child’s baptism. Please bring all these mandatory documents and a photo ID to the interview with the priest. Baptism registration MUST be done at least TWO (2) months in advance.
1. Child’s Original Birth Certificate - The child must be under 7 years of age.

2. Proof of Address - Any one of the following bills with the parent’s name and address.
- Utility Bill - Con Edison
- Telephone
- Cell phone bill
3. Letter of Permission - A letter from your church’s pastor permitting you to have your child baptized in our church unless you are a St. Simon Simon Stock - St. Joseph Church member or live within the parish boundaries.

4. Parents’ Baptism Certificate - One parent must be a Baptized Catholic. You must submit a Baptism Certificate at the time of registration.

5. Name and Confirmation Certificate of the Godparents - One Godparent must be a confirmed Catholic. You must submit the Confirmation certificate at the time of registration. Must have made their Baptism and First Communion.

        $45.00 - two children
        $55.00 - three or more
The discount is not applicable until six months after using the envelopes.

$60.00 - one child
$90.00 - two or more children

3. Registration Information and Procedures
- To baptize your child in our parish, make sure you have all the documents mentioned above and follow the procedures below.

1. Pass by the office
When you have all the documents ready, stop by the parish office to have an interview with the priest or deacon. Schedule: Monday to Friday From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

2. The Day of the Interview
You must come to the parish office on the day of the interview. The secretary (before calling up the priest or deacon) will ask you for all the documents and fees. However, your interview with the priest or deacon depends on whether or not you have all the documents. If you don’t have all the documents required at the time of the interview, you will have to reschedule for another interview.
There will be no exceptions!!

Remember any missing documents will delay your child’s baptism

3.  After the Interview
The secretary will register your child for the baptism and she will give you all the necessary information; month and day of baptism, date of the pre-baptismal class which both parents and godparents must attend.
