Its purpose is to help those who need occasional food assistance, the homeless, poor and disenfranchised. Services such as food pantry and clothes are provided in the parish office every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They also help coordinate the Christmas food basket. The main goal of the Health program in St. Simon Stock is to reestablish healthy behavior among our families, by increasing their knowledge about nutrition. The program also provides information about most common diseases that target our LATINO population such as diabetic, obesity, blood pressure, and cancer that sometimes are related to nutrition problem. The coordinator is Paulina Adames.
Alcoholic Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strength and hope with each other. They also help in solving their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
There are 2 groups of alcoholic anonymous. The first one is Alcoholic Anonymous (A.A), which meet on Tuesdays from 8pm-10pm and on Fridays from
7pm-10pm. The second group is Alcoholic Anonymous
District 714, which meet every first and third Saturday of
the month.
